MPCAM 2014 CONFERENCE

Beamformer and Rich Dental participated MPCAM exhibition
MPCAM 2014 was organized for the second time at Sunway Conventional Centre from 30th August till 31th August 2014. This event is specially for medical doctors/dentists who have already ventured in medical business. All of doctors/dentists who attended to this event are registered MPCAM members. We took this opportunity to introduce Beamformer and Rich Dental among doctors/dentists. From this event, we can spread our market through doctors. Therefore, the doctors will get clear idea about our business role.

Hmmm..our preparation for the exhibition was just average. This is the first time Beamformer involves in exhibition activity. Traditionally, we just meet doctors face to face by visiting clinic, well it's kinda 'door to door' knocking. So we decided to make some changes for the company. We just took part in this exhibition to get rough idea on how to penetrate medical market. Beamformer in cooperation Rich Dental together we do MPCAM exhibition preparation. The preparation went well with everyone gave full contribution. Me, just prepared meeting report while Mr. Rais prepared for company's video. Mr. Iskandar and Mr. Azrul contacted organizer for further details regarding exhibition tentative. Ms. Madiha ordered banners, bunting, flyers and goody bags. At first glance, we did not expect much for this event due to 'cold' response from the organizer during our registration as exhibitor.  We even did not know our exact booth number or location. Everyone was expecting that the exhibition will be cancelled at first. We kinda of worried that the event might give disaster since my colleague and I had experienced this similar experience before. Actually, it should be fair between organizer and exhibitor. Once exhibitors invest some money for some sort of exhibition, of course the exhibitors need to have something in return. It's not necessary in form of profit margin but it's all about fair sharing. From this exhibition, we could see that investors/exhibitors perhaps can make some money or build relationship among doctors or dentists. Plus, in return..we, as exhibitors will recommend to our future clients regarding MPCAM. Wait...the story did not end up like this...sorry I need to publish this story earlier without even finish the whole story..hehehehe..On the 30th August 2014, we arrived earlier..not really, actually Mr. Iskandar was the earliest person arrived at our booth.

MPCAM Exhibition

Breakfast in the morning at Sunway Hotel
Luckily our booth was placed nearby the entrance. Once we done with preparation, the organizer greeted us and he invited us for breakfast. We had some bread and some tea. It's kinda ok, since the conference was held at Sunway Hotel. While we were waiting for doctors/dentists to register, we prepared and make sure all things done. We had chance to make friend with doctors once they were having tea break. It went well, everyone in our team gave full support. Roughly, our team know what to do and automatically we take role once the participants visited our booth. That was our first day of MPCAM exhibition. During lunch time, me and my collegue went to the ballroom to have lunch together. Several dishes were served like 'Tom Yam' (Thai cuisine), rice, bread, salad, several types of sauces, chicken, and mutton...what else?fish and vegetables. We had desert like caramel pudding, kiwi cake and chocolate moist cake (the favorite one). After we finished, we headed back to our booth. Some doctors were roaming around our booth. So we took chance by hosted them with lucky draw contest. Doctors had to guest how many saliva ejector inside a container. The winner will get attractive prizes. Most of doctors who attended MPCAM conference had already opened their own clinic. But still, they can buy some instruments like fingertip pulse oxymeter, blood pressure monitor, thermometer etc.,. We consulted doctors on how to use these instruments before they buy any equipment from us. Doctors who came to our booth were experienced warm and friendly entertainment from us. A doctor came to us and shared his story about her/him purchasing clinic software. He/she told us that he/she bought the software for about MYR7K and we just stood silently hearing his/her story. I wonder where was exactly he/she purchased that expensive software? Normally, Beamformer and Rich Dental wouldn't charged that much for software installment and software running. So far, we managed to give good impression to the clients. Some of doctors have heard about our company. We had short rest and went for tea break. The hotel served banana cake during tea break. Madiha, Ashraf and me took advantage to walk around. We had little chat with doctors while we were eating. From that, we can get more clients and introduce to them about our company. After a while, the organizer came and told us that there's gonna be booth visit on the second day. So we just standby and prepared whatever necessary for booth visit ceremony. At 5pm, we wrapped up and discussed on how to boost our presentation for tomorrow.
Introducing the company business role
On the second day, we arrived and straight away prepared necessary tools for exhibition. We then had quick breakfast as we've been mentioned by the organizer that booth visit event will be held soon. In my humble opinion, this booth visit event really gives effective approach in introducing MPCAM sponsors. From this event, it will attract the doctors to come and visit our booth. Same goes to the other exhibitors as well. Beamformer was honored with memorial frame from the organizer after the ceremony. In returns, we gave goody bags to our guests/visitors.
At noon, we got to the ballroom for lunch. We ate rice, meat, chicken, curry, chicken soup, bread,salad, turkey ham and fruit cake. After that, we straight away went back to our booth. We packed our stuff nearly at 3pm.

MPCAM exhibition is a suitable stage to spread our market. Participants for the exhibition are doctors from entire Malaysia, not only at Klang Valley. So far, we can organize this such project for the first time. We would love to give special thanks to our president for MPCAM Exhibition project, Mr. Iskandar and Mr. Razi. They put some time to spend with us during exhibition. Mr. Iskandar gave admirable advice on how to set up our booth. He provides creative idea on how to attract clients to visit our booth. Furthermore, we can learn something from them like for example, how to communicate with clients, how to give proper consultation to the doctors and etc.,.In conclusion, we hope that we can organize this event in the future. It's fun to spend together with other colleague and work together for the same goal. Honestly, it's a little tough to deal with these clients during MPCAM Exhibition since the doctors had already open their own clinic. So, we just suggested the doctor to open their new branch. Some of them, did show interest to open new branch as well. The story which I shared in this entry was just happened during the exhibition. Sometimes, we cannot expect too much for something we do at the first time. Success needs time and we must go through several tough obstacles in order to achieve victory. Surprisingly, after few days, there was a doctor visited to Kedai Medik and asked for patient bed. There will be something in return after you do investment.
